We believe in being upfront about how content is created on this site. AI tools have become part of how many publishers research, draft, and edit their work. We are no exception. This page explains exactly how we use AI tools, what every article goes through before publication, and how to reach us with questions.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to help with:
- Research: gathering background on ingredients, cuisines, and techniques.
- First drafts: producing initial article structures that are then heavily edited and revised by Claire.
- Image generation: some hero images and supporting visuals are generated using AI tools and clearly labeled in our metadata.
- Recipe formatting: structuring ingredients, steps, and nutrition data for our recipe cards.
What never happens without a human
The following are always done by Claire personally, never by an AI:
- Recipe testing. Every recipe is cooked in our home kitchen, multiple times, before publication.
- Editorial review. Every word in every article is read, edited, and approved by Claire before it goes live.
- Fact-checking. Cooking times, ingredient ratios, food safety claims, and nutrition information are verified against trusted sources.
- Recommendations. When we tell you a substitution works, a tip is essential, or a method is best, that’s based on what Claire has tested in her kitchen.
- Reader replies. Emails, comments, and contact form messages are read and answered by a real person.
Why we are transparent about this
Some publishers use AI to generate hundreds of articles per day with no human review. We don’t. We use AI the same way we use spell-check, search engines, and reference books: as a tool that speeds up the parts of the work where speed doesn’t compromise quality. The actual judgment, taste, and accuracy comes from Claire.
If we ever publish something that feels wrong, lazy, or inaccurate, we want you to tell us. That feedback is how we keep our standards high.
Image sourcing
Photos on this site come from three sources: photos taken in our own kitchen during recipe development, AI-generated images we created for editorial purposes, and licensed stock photography from partners we work with. We do not scrape images from other websites or social media without permission.
Image removal requests
If you believe an image on this site has been used without proper permission, please email [email protected] with the URL of the page and a description of the issue. We will review and respond within 48 hours, and remove or replace the image as needed.
